Q1. My license is invalid. What shall I do?
There are three possibilities:
1. Your user name contains punctuation, symbols or special characters.
For example, the character Ÿ, the symbol $, or the punctuation ’, will not be recognized by the program. Some French, Greek, Italian, German, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese or Spanish characters will not be accepted by the program.
If your license code is invalid due this reason, please contact us for a new code with the user name in English characters as you prefer.
2. Blank spaces are accidentally added.
Please mind that license information is case-sensitive. Do not enter any extra blank space to the license name or code.
3. The license does not match the program.
Please note that we have several similar but different programs. Please match the license with the very program you use.
For instance, if you purchase Any DVD Converter, but accidentally download Any Video Converter, then you will fail to register the program. You shall download Any DVD Converter instead.
Q2. Audio tracks does not sync with moving pictures, why?
You can solve the problem by setting the A/V Sync. Please go to the right pane of the main window of Any Video (DVD) Converter or Any Video Converter Ultimate, unfold Audio Options, and then set "A/V sync" option to "Default". It's recommended to close other programs especially anti-virus before encoding.
You can also click Edit > Options > Video, and you will find "Default sync factor" control bar. It's a factor to reach synchronization. The bigger value you move to, the better accuracy of sync you will get, meanwhile, the encoding duration will also become longer.
Or, please add source video to Kmplayer, right-click on the preview window, click Media Info, and then set the video framerate and audio sample rate parameters in Any Video (DVD) Converter or Any Video Converter Ultimate according to the Media Info to try again.
Please note that some source video files may be encoded with defects that would disrupt or mislead the converting process. This sometimes will cause converting errors and the out-of-sync problem. In this case, it’s suggested that you change output format or the input files.
Please Note: The method above is for Any Video/DVD Converter or Any Video Converter Ultimate for Windows. Mac users please refer to the following steps:
You can resolve the problem by setting the A/V Sync under “Audio” as “Basic”. And tick “Keep Aspect” option under “Video” settings.
Please also set the “Video Framerate” the same as “FPS” of the original video:
The problem may be caused by the bad frame. You can skip this bad frame by checking "Avoid incomplete conversion" option under the “Advanced” tab of the Options window.
Q4. My output video is twice of the original video playback speed. Is there a fix?
For some special videos, the duration of the output video is only half the time or twice of the input video duration. You can solve this problem by adding this command line –speed x to the “Additional MEncoder options” under the Advanced tab of the Options window. (x=Output video duration/ Input video duration)
Supposed the original video duration is 30 seconds, but output is 15 seconds, so you can add this command line -speed 0.5 to “Additional MEncoder options” to try again.
If original video duration is 30 seconds, but output is 60 seconds, you should use this command line –speed 2.0 instead in the “Additional MEncoder options”.
Yes. Any DVD Converter or Any Video Converter Ultimate can rip copy protected and region locked DVDs, e.g., Transformers 2, Star Trek, District 9, Inglourious Basterds, G.I. Joe, The Proposal, Up, etc.
To rip copy protected DVDs, you should click tab Edit > Options > DVD, and check "Ripping DVD titles in DVDNav mode" option.
Q6. How to rip DVD to a whole video file, but not separated files? (for Any DVD Conveter and Any Video Converter Ultimate)
A: Before opening a DVD, please click Edit > Options > DVD, and then check "Do not separate a DVD video disc as titles".
Q7. Any DVD Converter/Any Video Converter Ultimate only rips 40 mins of a 2 hrs DVD movie. Why?
A: It's quite possible that Any DVD Converter/Any Video Converter Ultimate doesn't decrypt the copy protection completely. Please follow the suggestions below to try again:
1. Please use DVDSmith Movie Backup (freeware developed by us) to remove the protection and copy the "Full Disc" to your hard drive first, and then use Any DVD Converter to add the entire copied folder as a DVD disc and rip.
2. If problem persists, please use Any DVD Cloner Platinum which can decrypt more recent DVD copy protection. Use "Full Disc" mode in Any DVD Cloner Platinum to copy the DVD movie to DVD Folder, and then use Any DVD Converter to convert the DVD folder.
In Any DVD Converter/Any Video Converter Ultimate, please click menu "File > Open DVD Folder" to import the DVD folder to the program.
Q8. Why am I not able to download YouTube videos?
Perhaps you didn't copy the correct download link from YouTube. Please copy the link in the box as shown below, and then paste it to Any Video (DVD) Converter.
Generally speaking, the video URL will be displayed on the right side of the video and in a text box named "Embed".
Q9. Can I upgrade my paid Any Video Converter to Any Video Converter Ultimate?
No. They are sold as different programs. However, you can buy Any Video Converter Ultimate, then contact us to request a refund of previous order of Any Video Converter. Please note this only applies to recent purchase of Any Video Converter within a month.
Q10. The quality of output files is not very good. How can I improve it?
Generally speaking, the output quality can be improved by modifying "Video Size" and video "Bit Rate". After you highlight the loaded file into the program, you will be able to modify them on the right panel of the main interface. But in certain format, there would be some limitations. And also, the output files would be in a larger size if you set larger values for these two items.
